Homeschool Ski Days!

Despite the extreme lack of snow again this winter, it is winter, somewhere. They are making snow for skiing not too far north of us and they have some deals for homeschoolers on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Bring your home schooled children to Wilmot Mountain on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the 2012-13 Season! Enjoy our special discounted prices and let them enjoy our outdoor snow sports first hand! All you need is your home school identification for you and your child to ski/snowboard all day, all night at these excellent prices. Don’t forget to use your complimentary group lesson available for anyone 8 years and older!
– Groups of 15 or more MUST book at least 48 hours in advance. Please check out the Group Sales

Group Leader Handbook for step by step instructions and answers to frequently asked questions!
– Group Ski/Snowboard Lessons are available through our Snow Sports School at 11 am and 7 pm daily.
They are available for ages 8 and older. Private lessons are also available for an additional charge
anytime from 10:30 am til 7pm upon request. Ask our Snow Sports School for details!

Ski and lift rates start at $10 for kids under 6 and $28 for people 7 years and up.

Open swim for homeschoolers

We have really enjoyed the gym and swim classes we have taken at the Centre, and here is an opportunity for all homeschoolers to enjoy some swim time during their break from the regular gym and swim classes.
Times and fees are listed below, and contact information for further information as well.

Home School Drop-In Swim

Home school families – come down to The Centre for
swimming on the following Thursdays when our regular
program is not running during the holidays. The cost per
child is $2.75 and $3.25 for adults. Times will be from
1:00pm—3:00pm each day.

Free days at Brookfield!

Looking for a way to take full advantage of this beautiful weather we are having this fall?

Brookfield Zoo would be the perfect place. And, from October through December admission is free on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

You will still need to pay the $9 parking fee and all internal attractions that require extra fees will still do so. However, you can enjoy a great day at the zoo for a very reasonable price.

Starting in November and continuing through March the Family Play Zoo and the Children’s Zoo will be free as well.

Very likely you can find something in the zoo’s many exhibits to tie into a current unit of study, or to enjoy a day of fun, real-life learning outside the books. Grab another family and make a day of it.
