Crusaders, organized by the Crossroads Youth Center, offers various sports (soccer, basketball, etc.) for boys and girls at a variety of ages and levels. They also offer a weekly PE class during the school year. Reasonable rates, and a variety of sports offered geared specifically for homeschoolers.

Home School sports class being offered in St. Charles the 2nd & 4th Friday of the month from 1:30-3 pm. 2013 cost: $30 (per student) for a 3 month class Age: 5+ (to optimize the coaches time we need to keep this class for school aged children K-12th grade range) The facility has the ability to teach many sports including – Flag Football, dodge ball, t-ball, kickball, soccer, capture the flag.

Spotlight is an after-school theater arts education program for kids ages 6-18, offering classes in the McHenry, Lake, Kane, DuPage and Northwest Cook County areas. Three sessions are conducted each year, beginning in the fall. Week-long summer camps are offered in all regions as well. Spotlight offers students an opportunity to develop their talents, interact with friends and learn to be a positive member of their community.

Toward the end of each session, a fully-staged musical production is presented for a run of up to two weekends. Students ages 8-18 currently enrolled in the session have the opportunity to audition for the show.

ST. AMBROSE HOME SCHOOL PERFORMING ARTS CLUB

Registration is open to all children that would like the opportunity to develop their artistic talents. The children get an opportunity to express themselves in an environment of creativity. The children learn to perform as a team member of a theater/dance troupe. An essential element in reaching their full potential as a troupe team member is by exercising the Catholic virtues. Classes run September through June. The final performance of the year is held the first weekend in June.

The Western Springs School of Talent Education enthusiastically welcomes homeschool students to our program! They have openings for new students on weekday mornings and early afternoons for families who would like to schedule lessons during the normal school day. The Suzuki Method also emphasizes several techniques which often coincide with the goals of homeschooling parents

Students range in age from 9 to 19 playing a variety of instruments not including strings. Spanning four levels from beginners through high school symphony. There is also a marching band that performs during the summer. Practice is Thursday evenings.

Karine attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City where she received her AAS in Illustration. She teaches local art classes to students from ages 5 through adult and conducts art workshops at local libraries for all ages.

She is also a freelance illustrator and the creator of all the Masterpiece Art Instruction CDs and free projects.

The EverReady Speech and Debate club offers a fun environment for home educated students to learn and exercise analytical and oratorical skills in order to address life issues from a Biblical worldview for the glory of God.

Where: The Chapel (180 North Hawthorne Road in Barrington)

The skills learned in club are to be demonstrated at various tournaments offered through the NCFCA (National Christian Forensic and Communicators Association) for student ages 12-18.
