High School/College level Sign Classes
Learn American Sign Language (ASL) as your foreign language for High School foreign language credit. The book we will be using will be at a College level. This will be an academic focused class to be able to receive credits for your transcripts and with the potential to CLEP out of these same classes at College.
My name is Stacey Borrego and I have been involved in the deaf community for over 20 years as an interpreter and teaching Sign Language classes. I was immersed for a year in the deaf culture traveling and living with a deaf ministry called Deaf Opportunity Outreach (DOOR) where I gained insurmountable experience in this beautiful language called American Sign Language! I have completed the Interpreter program at Waubonsee Community College.
Since 2005 I have been teaching Sign Language classes to individuals of all ages, Children to adults. Currently I am an educational and freelance interpreter.
The cost of these classes will be $125 per student. Location will be: 737 Hamilton Way Batavia The dates of the classes will be every Tuesdays from 6:00 – 7:00pm (below is a list of the dates):
1/20; 1/27; 2/3; 2/10; 2/17; 2/24; 3/3; 3/10; 3/17; 3/24; 4/7; 4/14; 4/21; 4/28; 5/5; 5/12; 5/19
In addition to these classes we will be going to some deaf events at different times. This will be optional on different days.

Girl/Boy Scout Badge Program
Animal Friends
This program is 30-45 minutes in length and focuses on basic Illinois wildlife and rehabilitation. It is hands-on with two of our education ambassador animals and includes visual aids and fun facts. Perfect for young children or a small group!

Animal Adventures
This program is 45-60 minutes in length and will provide a more in-depth review of Illinois wildlife and rehabilitation. Included are visual aids, a PowerPoint presentation (if requested), and three education ambassadors.

Raptor (Birds of Prey) Program
This 30 minute presentation will include a PowerPoint on all the native raptors in Illinois. At the end of the presentation, you will be able to ask questions while meeting our very own education ambassador raptor(s). Skulls, talons, and preserved wings will be a part of this fascinating presentation. Perfect for adults and children alike who are interested in these captivating birds.

Judson Music Camp
Fox Valley Music Camp at Judson University
The Fox Valley Music Camp at Judson University is a great place for budding musicians to learn about music basics and for more advanced musicians to hone their skills. Camp week is June 23-27, 2014. They offer a Half Day camp (9 am-noon) for K-2nd graders and a Full Day camp (9 am – 4 pm) for 3rd-12th grade campers.
