Ballet in Frankfort

Received via email:

Ballet 5:8 School of the Arts, a christian ballet school in Frankfort
IL, would like to offer a once a week, daytime class specifically for
home school families.

The class would be open to ages 9+ and it would
serve as a Physical Education or Fine Art credit for your students’
education.

Ballet 5:8 is a unique organization, with the mission to
share the gospel through the arts. This mission informs the way we
teach, the music we use and the excellence that characterizes our
classes.

We would love to partner with your family by providing a
safe, encouraging environment for your student to grow in their
knowledge and love of dance.

If you are interested in this class and would like more details,
please contact us at info@ballet58.org mailto:info@ballet58.org or
708.329.8773. We would love to hear from you!

Online driver’s ed for young adults

If you are looking for more affordable options for your teens to get their drivers license, keep reading!
In order to qualify the driver must be willing to wait a little bit to get their license, but this might be a great option for a teen that isn’t itching for their license, or a family that can wait a bit. These online courses tend to run around $80 rather than the hundreds that you will shell out for an onsite class.
DRIVER EDUCATION
Adult Driver Education
Adult Driver Applicants
Effective July 1, 2014 Public Act 98-167 requires Illinois driver’s license applicants ages 18, 19, or 20, who have never previously been licensed or completed an approved driver education course, to complete a six hour Adult Driver Education Course.
The Adult Driver Education Course can only be taught by providers certified by the Secretary of State. Courses may be taught in a classroom setting or online, depending on the certification of a provider. Completion of an Adult Driver Education Course from a provider NOT LISTED, will not be accepted.
Upon successful completion of this course a certificate of completion will be provided to you and then you may visit a Secretary of State Driver Services facility to complete your vision, written and road test.

Hi Friends,

Thought I would personally send you the upcoming dates and flyers for the My Father’s World expos in Illinois. Registration is free on mfwbooks.com, (under events tab) so it is a great way for homeschool families, or those considering homeschooling, to have an opportunity to browse materials in a more relaxed setting.  They are all open house style from 11-3.

Peoria is Thursday, April 30th at the Embassy Suites
Naperville is Friday, May 1st at the Marriot by 88 and Naperville Rd.
Crystal Lake is Saturday, May 2nd at the Holiday Inn on Rt.31

Please pass along to any groups or families that may have an interest.  All of the teacher’s manuals, curriculum sets, as well as math and science books will be set up on display.  Doug and I are not sure yet if we will be joining the team for the Illnois events this year, but all of the travel teams are super helpful in answering questions!

Happy Spring,
Love,
Kristin
