Conferences

Illinois Christian Home Educators Conference

Annual convention held in  June each year to encourage Christians choosing to home educate their children in Illinois. Well attended, knowledgeable speakers, and a packed vendor hall make this a wonderful time of refreshment.

InHome Conference

In 1998, the Home Educators Conference Fund (HECF) was formed as an Illinois not-for-profit corporation. In both its volunteer base and its governance, HECF has drawn from a wide selection of committed and talented homeschoolers. Their presenters and volunteers are current or former homeschoolers from all over Illinois, and elsewhere in the US where homeschooling has flourished. HECF’s “InHome” event is a forum for grassroots insights; they enjoy sharing their experiences and recognizing the expertise within their own communities.

Eagle Forum Collegians Leadership Summit

They offer a two day conference, packed with top conservative lawmakers, authors and activists.   On Thursday, they invite politicians down from the hill and have a social dinner Thursday evening.  Friday brings authors and other conservative leaders.  Both days, they’ll have student leaders from around the country sharing their success, and a smattering of special activities to make this conference the best you’ve attended.

Classical Conversations Seminars

Each year a variety of seminars are offered for parents and students alike by Classical Conversations. Parents of all age students will benefit from learning how to think well!

Come practice the skills needed to teach your children how to recover the lost tools of learning. Learn to see Him in all you teach. Plan to use your brain and laugh a lot! The CC facilitators love teaching the fundamentals of learning and turning the difficult into the doable!

These Practicums are for parents and teachers of all grade levels. The cost is FREE for adults and teens! Parents attending practicums can relax knowing that their younger students are learning AND having fun.
